Clockwork spiral springs are made from flat steel band. For small springs, cold rolled stainless steel band is used. For large springs, a strip of alloyed steel grades is used, followed by heat treatment of the springs for a given hardness. The steel tape is wound on a special cylinder and left in this form for a certain time interval. The term depends on the technical parameters corresponding to GOST, or specified in the project, which was provided by the customer.
